The gunman has been identified as 29yearold omar mateen and Authorities Say he had tied to terrorists. He reportedly called 911 shortly before the attack and pledged allegiance to the islamic state. Mateen lived in port st. Llucie florida, and born in new york to afghan parents and he entered the pulse nightclub in orlando, around 2 00 this morning armed with an Assault Rifle and a handgun. Reporter denise, in the last few hours the fbi announced it was first made aware of omar mateen in 2013 after he made inflammatory comment tosco workers.
