BILLERICA With a special election Feb. 17 that was fueled largely by the opposition of some residents to a project to renovate the Billerica Town Center, officials who oppose the project are making a last pitch for voters to reject it.
BILLERICA More than four months after the fall Town Meeting session approved the Billerica Town Center rehabilitation project in a 126-61 vote that needed a two-thirds majority, the Billerica voters at large will now have the final say in a Feb. 17 special election, for which early voting has already begun.
