Vincent smith was struck while he was on highway 50 in sacramento yesterday. He was trying to move two vehicle involved in a second crash. Smith was struck in the upper and lower torso. You suffer major injury through the collision and hes still in very serious condition. We have our command staff and his family there at the hospital with him. And were praying for a speedy recovery. Officer smith is an 18 year veteran of the chp.
