priority when i was putting them in the construction apprenticeship programs because i remembered myself being homeless. so, i said when i would look at the he application, i said, okay, this person is a veteran. so, i m going to just make them a priority for the next apprenticeship opportunity that i have. and that s what i would do privately with veterans. it wasn t written into our contract with the redevelopment agency to do that, but that s just something that i took upon myself to do because i ve walked in the shoes of a homeless veteran and an unemployed veteran before. so, going back to the second issue here, i have three years of active duty and san francisco retirement board will not pick you up unless you join from san francisco or you are waiting on an city employment list. those are the two conditions. so, i d like again, here, i m not going to repeat myself, i would like to see that change so you can move these people on off the list and they can do other thin
