(Des Moines, IA) Iowa National Guard Major General Benjamin Corell says he s always been very healthy, but came down with COVID-19 in November. Corell says he was in the hospital for a week, and five months later still has some lingering symptoms.
Major General Corell described his experience during a news conference with Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds. Corell encouraged all current and retired military members to get a COVID-19 vaccine. To the one half of the current Iowa National Guard members who have not been vaccinated, for other Iowans who have worn the uniform and have previously served our nation, who have not yet been vaccinated, I m calling on now to serve your community in a different way, schedule an appointment and be vaccinated, roll up your sleeve and be part of the solution that will lead us out of this pandemic, Said Corell.
