A little standoff between republicans and democrats over the debt ceiling. And later tonight, there is going to be a test vote on the house floor. Now, this is important because no republican that we know of at this time is willing to vote in favor of allowing the debt limit to rise. Now, here is why this matters to all of us. According to the congressional budget office, if congress does not do something, in other words raise the debt ceiling so that the United States is allowed to issue more debt, the federal governments going to run out of money, likely as soon as ten days from now. It says october or november. October, obviously, starts in nine days. And this is a big deal because it would lead to the First American default in history.
