RAVENEL, S.C. Gary L. Henderson age 81 formerly of Gowanda passed away at home unexpectedly February 28, 2021 in South Carolina.
Gary was born in Gowanda, NY June 14 , 1949 the son of Gordon E. and Bertha R. (Field) Henderson.
A 1958 graduate of Cattaraugus High School, Gary was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1963 honorably serving his country until 1965. Prior to being drafted he was employed with the former Gowanda State Hospital, he worked as a cook, after his deployment he returned to his position with the hospital and worked until his retirement in 1983.
Gary enjoyed car shows and enjoyed showing his Model A, Model T and Jaguar (to name a few). Other interests included motorcycles, his faithful canine companions he had through the years and his love for his church, he was a longtime devoted member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ravenel, S.C. ....
