President trump says he is imposing more sanctions on iran to stop it developing nuclear weapons. But he says military action is still on the table. Iranian forces shot down an american surveillance drone on thursday. Mr trump then ordered three air strikes in response. But he says he called them off with minutes to spare because too many people would have died. He told reporters its now up to iran to stop the tensions escalating further. If the leadership of iran behaves badly, then it is going to be a very, very bad day for them, but hopefully they are smart and hopefully they really care for their people and not themselves and hopefully we can get iran back to an economic track that is fantastic, where they are a really wealthy nation which would be a wonderful thing.
