Camden National Bank donates Gardiner buildings Gardiner Main Street plans a $2.5 million renovation of the five Water Street buildings. 4 of 4 Camden National Bank announced on Wednesday the donation of several buildings to Gardiner Main Street. Gardiner Main Street hopes the 19th-century buildings eventually will be redeveloped into studio and living space for artists and an expansion of the group s collaborative work space. Staff photo by Andy Molloy GARDINER In a move that is likely to change the face of downtown Gardiner, Camden National Bank has donated a historic block of buildings to Gardiner Main Street for redevelopment. The block, 149-167 Water St., consists of five brick buildings that make up about 23,000 square feet of space and have a view of the Kennebec River from their rear windows.
