At the beginning of last school year, students and staff at Huron High School in New Boston were looking to form a brand new robotics team to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competition an international competition where teams design, program, and build a robot to compete against others in various games.

The Aerospace Industry Association of Michigan and FIRST robotics are offering a free virtual event for students, parents and companies from Michigan’s aerospace industry.
The Women of Aerospace event, scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, will feature keynote speakers from NASA and six panels moderated by women from NASA.
FIRST robotics teams participating from West Michigan include students from East Grand Rapids High School, East Grand Rapids Middle School, East Kentwood High School and Crestwood Middle School.
