Approximately 153 youth from Nebraska, Kansas and Colorado exhibited over 470 entries in beef, swine, sheep and goats at the Gage County Livestock Showdown.
About 172 area third and fourth grade students participated in Progressive Ag Safety Day at the Gage County Fairgrounds on Thursday. FFA members from Tri County, Lewiston and Beatrice assisted.
After 11 years the barn quilts that hang throughout the Gage County Fairgrounds needed repainting. Project organizer Kay McKinzie spent 25-30 hours giving them a facelift.
