On the outside, Magalene s Boutique in downtown Lexington looks the same as it has for over a year, but a peek inside shows you something has definitely changed.
The dark brunette running around the clothing and accessories store is the first big change. Samantha Sturgill Ricks, a 2011 Central Davidson High School graduate, purchased the store at the end of June and opened it Tue, July 13.
The store now has an open feel to it with the clothing, jewelry and purse displays being pushed against the walls of the store.
While the name, for now, remains Magalene s, it too, will change shortly. The mother of three will rename the store Gabrielle Chic after her oldest child.
