In a nail-biting last game at the Aggie Memorial Stadium, New Mexico State football pulled its tenth win of the season, the first 10-win season since 1960, in a 20-17 victory over the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks. Although this was a Cinderella story to be told, the Aggies had to surpass the opposition of JSU.

MESKWAKI SETTLEMENT â Baxter s boys basketball team couldn t get going offensively last week during a pair of losses.
The Bolts opened the week with a 49-41 loss to Meskwaki Settlement School during Iowa Star Conference South Division play on Dec. 8. They shot just 33 percent from the floor, made only 3-of-13 from long range and missed seven free throws.
Baxter (2-3 overall, 1-2 in the conference) trailed by three after three but the Warriors (3-0, 3-0) outscored the Bolts 17-12 in the fourth to pull away.
Cody Damman scored 14 points to lead the way, while Nate McMinamen added eight points and 11 rebounds.
