According to information released by the Turkish naval defense industry, the new generation of Istanbul-class frigate will be fitted with the Gökdeniz naval version of the Korkut self-propelled short-range air defense system that will be mounted on new Istanbul-class of Turkish Navy. a naval version of the Korkut short-range air defense system that was unveiled in May 2019 during the defense exhibition in Istanbul, Turkey.
