Bounce back so dramatically from hurricane harvey. this could be more of an event where it hurts crude oil production where hurricane harvey was more of a refinery event. the u.s. energy industry is getting a sucker punch. now they took out the refineries. and now production could be lowers. now the falling gasoline and oil prices that we ve seen will be reversed. we ve seen that in the futures market today and we ll probably see it at the pump tomorrow. even if this doesn t prove to be a harmful storm or one that would take out the facilities out of an abundance of caution, the major operators shut the refineries down. that freezes production out of the area, prices go up, right? it does. what will happen, of course, because our energy industry is so amazing, a lot of times these
