The Veil Brewing Co. is making another run at a second location in Scott’s Addition.
The brewery is planning to open a tasting room at 1509 Belleville St., where it was once planned to be an anchor tenant of a food hall that never materialized.
Charles Bice, who owns the Belleville property with development partner Birck Turnbull, said despite the food hall falling through last summer, The Veil remained interested in expanding its presence in Scott’s Addition.
He said The Veil is set to occupy about 8,200 square feet in the building, which is about two blocks from its current home at 1301 Roseneath Road, where it has its brewing operations and taproom.

A row of aging office buildings in the Fan is set to be razed to make way for a new salon-anchored development.
Local developer and entrepreneur Andrew Flint is planning to replace four century-old structures in the 2600 block of West Cary Street with a mixed-use project that will include a storefront for Hive Salon Studios, a local chain he owns.
Flint bought the buildings at 2606, 2608, 2610 and 2612 W. Cary St. for $1.27 million in November 2020 and began looking into renovating them, rather than tearing them down.
