India News: Justice PB Varale has been sworn in as a Supreme Court judge, bringing the apex court to full strength. This marks the first time the Supreme Court has three sitting judges from the Dalit community. Justice Varale, the Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court, was administered the oath of office by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. The appointment comes after the retirement of Justice S K Kaul, and the recommendation of Justice Varale's name by the SC Collegium. With this appointment, the representation of Bombay High Court in the Supreme Court increases to four judges.
