It had developed technical problems, including helium leaks, shortly after its original launch and nasa decided it would be safer to leave the two astronauts on board the iss. Astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams will return to earth next february in a spacex capsule, after spending eight months in Orbit Theyd only expected to be there eight days.
