World of drugs, addiction and recovery, it is very controversial. If you are addicted to heroin or some other kind of opiate, the drug suboxone can be a literal lifesaver. If you have diabetes you need insulin. If you have high Blood Pressure you need an antihypertensive medication. It treats the chronic illness. Reporter it addicts you to a safer drug without getting you high. A doctor helps addicts get off the drugs using suboxone which is like methadone but considered by many better. The risk of addiction is lower. The risk of killing yourself from overdose is low. We dont see this as an abusive medication. No one ever come to my Office Seeking buprenorphine.
