NORTH American roots music has long been a mainstay of Shetland Folk Festival and the wider local scene. Saturday afternoon saw aficionados young and old.
ROAD policing motorcyclists were in Shetland over the weekend (16-18 June) and attended at the Simmer Dim Rally, which took place at Ollaberry. Officers spoke with over 150 motorcyclists over the days, as well as carrying out road safety patrols. A total of 30 other vehicles.
BBC Radio Shetland is gearing up to host its annual Children in Need fundraising appeal on Friday night. The programme starts at 6pm when the pupils from Mossbank Primary School take over the airwaves to present Give us a Tune. Then between 7pm and 1am traditional Shetland.
