While St James Swifts edged Killen Rangers in a nine-goal NIWFA Championship thriller, Ballymacash Rangers became Division 1 leaders after a narrow win.

League leaders Lisburn swept aside the challenge of Ballymena United, comfortably winning 10-0 as Sara Stevenson led the way with a hat-trick. Second-placed St James Swifts kept themselves in the chase but were made to fight hard for their win, narrowly scraping home 5-4 at Killen Rangers. The visitors had looked to be in control with a 4-1 lead but Killen fought back to tie the game at 4-4, before Carla Devine got a late winner. Elsewhere, third-placed Mid-Ulster easily beat East Belfast 7-0.

A crucial match in the Northern Ireland Women’s FA Championship promotion chase saw St James Swifts take maximum points.
CHAMPIONSHIP
Goals from Molly White and Jodie Shannon were enough to give St James Swifts three massive points in the hunt for promotion as they defeated rivals Mid Ulster 2-0. This win saw them move three points clear in second place in the standings.
Ballymena were the big scorers last week as they dismantled Comber Rec 6-1, despite going behind to a first minute Shannon McCullough strike. United fought back well with hat-tricks from both Megan Henry and Chelsea Millar securing the points.
