The Rochester Police Department is once again warning the public about leaving valuable property in plain view inside of empty vehicles.

The 23rd annual Rochester Polar Plunge hosted by Special Olympics Minnesota was held on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024 at Foster-Arend Park in Rochester. Over 950 plungers participated in this years event raising over $280,000 for Special Olympics.

As one of over 20 plunges in Minnesota, the Rochester event has raised $281,090 as of Saturday afternoon with a total of about $4 million since 2002.
