Dozens of parents and friends gathered at the May 16 Forsyth County School Board meeting to recognize students for their accomplishments at the close of the academic year.

The activists sued after member Alison Hair was banned from meetings after reading passages of a sexually explicit book available in the school library to her son. A group of Georgia moms have won $100,000 from a school board that banned them.
