　　据介绍，在展览馆内，“河南元素”重点突出了大别山精神、红旗渠精神和焦裕禄精神。大河报记者从信阳市相关部门了解到，39件革命文物中，从信阳借调的就有18件，这18件进京参展的信阳革命文物，主要来自鄂豫皖革命纪念馆、鄂豫皖苏区首府革命博物馆等收藏的大别山革命历史时期的珍贵文物，包含鄂豫皖军委兵工厂生产的手枪、地雷、玉米形手雷和红军战士使用过的物品等。
　　在展览馆“劈开太行山”展区，建有一个大型喷绘，生动地再现了红旗渠建设者们凌空除险时的作业场景。修建红旗渠时使用的电话机、马灯、钢钎、柳编帽、小推车等实物在这里被一一展出。
　　一旁的电子屏循环播放着《红旗渠》纪录片，展示了当年林县人民在县委领导下，自力更生、艰苦创业、开凿太行山，修建“人工天河”的全过程。
