How are you feeling physically and emotionally? . well a little sore, understandably, with the indecision. these are dangerous times. because i have very little immunosuppresion against any infection or disease. i m going back after this interview to yale, new haven medical where the surgery was performed for my first checkup, as will samira. i m very blessed. i m not very lucky at the racetracks, one of my loves. but so far with this medical lifeline that samira has given me, it s onward and upward. it s samira, how are you feeling? i feel great. i m getting stronger every day. as richard mentioned, i, too, have a followup appointment. i m hoping to be cleared for travel to get back home to
I spoke to the director earlier today, she said the number has gone up, 60 to 65% of cases that they re performing here at this clinic are women in texas. if you take a look at the cars around me, it s all texas plates. literally, i speak to women throughout the day, i ve been speaking to women throughout the day, many of them are coming from texas. they re making the trek four to five hours in the car, driving by themselves, 12 to 13 hours on the bus, if they don t have a car to get here, having to come, have their initial appointment, stay overnight for 24 hours, because that s the law here in louisiana, and then having to have a followup appointment for the actual procedure. a really harrowing 48 hours or so for many of these women. and these clinics having to deal with all of these appointments coming at them, all of these women coming at them. i spoke to the director, as i mentioned, kathleen pitman. she talked about the emotional part of this whole thing and how the clinic is hav
Because of the visual of me having the band-aid. finally, though, after these three days off, i asked to come back even though i still have it covered. and that is because, a, i really am fine, and b, i realized, by rights i need to pay this back and i want to use this moment to tell you something, which is you should get checked. if you ve got moles like i do, cut. get on a schedule with your doctor. schedule a check now with your doctor. and then when your doctor tells you you re fine but you should do this every year, put it in the calendar in your phone for a year from now, and then actually come back and do that followup appointment. you know what i m talking about, right? you know there s all this stuff that you should regularly check, and you do it once and never again because they tell you it s fine, that s this guy right here. it s only by the grace of susan that i found mine in enough time that it was totally treatable. because i have been blowing off my appointments forever
