Dense fog and cold wave conditions disrupted air and rail traffic in North India. Several flights and trains to Delhi were delayed or cancelled as zero visibility was recorded at Delhi IGI Airport.
Cold wave in India: Very dense fog was reported in isolated parts of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, west Uttar Pradesh and northwest Madhya Pradesh on Wednesday late night, according to the IMD.
In its letter, the airport has said the enforcement of GRAP IV in Delhi, a measure to combat air pollution, had a disruptive impact on the execution of work after it commenced.
