Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne (
Ant-Man and The Wasp) and
Crazy Rich Asians star Michelle Yeoh have officially signed on to join the cast of Netflix’s film adaptation of
The School for Good and Evil, based on Soman Chainani’s fantasy YA novel series of the same name, according to Deadline. Fishburne and Yeoh are joining previously cast Kerry Washington (
Little Fires Everywhere) and Charlize Theron (
The Old Guard), along with young leads Sofia Wylie and Sophia Anne Caruso.
Fishburne is set to portray the role of The School Master. In the books, the character’s real name is Rafal Mistral, who is described as a mysterious figure hiding behind a silver mask. As for Yeoh, she will be playing Professor Anemone, who is the School for Good’s teacher for Beautification. Washington and Theron will star alongside Wylie ( ....
