fire and fire trucks couldn t get through because of this politically motivated traffic jam. now, i want to bring something to your attention. i have to ask you about. republican state senator kevin o toole, he is a christie ally whose on the new committee. on the first batch of subpoenas, the name o toole appeared in an e-mail from david wildstein, the official who shut down the bridge. on december 5th, wildstein sent an e-mail. quote, spoke with o toole this morning, and he will talk to you later today. the next day, wildstein resigned from the port authority. now, we don t know for sure the e-mail is referring to senator o toole. when reporters asked him about that e-mail, he said i don t know what this means. would it not be a glaring conflict if the o toole on

winner this hour on cnn. good morning and welcome to early start, i m sor ride da sam lynn. i m ashley banfield. we re bringing you the news from a to z. it s 5:00 a.m. in the east. we begin this morning with breaking news. we re just learning brand new information on that nigerian plane that crashed into a residential neighborhood in lagos. the airline s director of flight operations confirming the pilot was american. we have no idea how long that pilot worked for the airline. nigeria s president declaring three days of national mourning and ordering a full investigation. all 153 people on board were killed in yesterday s disaster, and at least ten people on the ground died as well. firefighters and police struggled to put out all of the flames. there wasn t any water left more than three hours after that crash. residents helped carry fire hoses and plastic buckets of water to the burning wreckage. into s going to be a rough day pretty much in the financial markets a
6,000 protesters outside of the parliament. there wasn t too much going on. there was some shouting. the police then decided they were going to disperse the crowd and to do that they fired tear gas. they pushed the crowd back. they used batons at some points. the crowd responded by throwing molotov cocktails much like what was seen in this country over the last few months but not as violent as yesterday where three people were killed when the bank was set aflame and the fire trucks couldn t get there in time to save the people inside. stephanie, looking ñiahead t tomorrow, as you said, today there was a tremendous show of force by police officers there outside the parliament and the like while there is not a vote expected tomorrow around which security could secure themselves. what do you expect for tomorrow? has anything been announced, plan plans, demonstrations? reporter: at the moment there are no demonstrations announced. that doesn t mean there couldn t be impromptu demonstr
the square just outside of parliament. there was a fire truck. you mentioned that fire outside of citi bank, a fire truck pulled up quickly thereafter and put out the fire. you remember one of the problems yesterday is fire trucks couldn t get to that bank in time to save those people trapped inside. that was clearly not going to be an issue today. there is a fire truck parked right outside of parliament, another one around the corner but right now you still see the very heavy security force presence outside of the building but that large crowd was almost entirely disbursed at this point. stephanie, give us more information on what do these protesters what would they have wanted from the parliament? what solution were they looking for? especially when you hear the comments from the finance minister and others who say, we had no choice here? reporter: well, there s a lot of distrust of the government here and frankly speaking they say, we don t believe them. i mean, they re being
