The Balbriggan-based Irish Institute of Music and Song (IIMS) has launched a campaign to support Irish artists this Christmas by ensuring that music made in Ireland is broadcast in towns across Fingal.
The Institute is calling on local artists to come forward with tracks for inclusion in the Fingal Events Christmas playlist of music that will be played on speakers as part of the Fingal County Council street music service.
The IIMS will curate the playlist to ensure that a song recorded by a local musician will be broadcast every 15 minutes until Christmas Eve, making sure they are heard by thousands of Christmas shoppers every day.
