It is high time for the Environment Department of Capital Development Authority (CDA) to come into action and start imposing heavy fines on those who have been illegally trespassing upon the facilities and dampening their glow and lustre.
“The landscaping of greenbelts and parks is imperative to enhance the beauty of the city, besides ensuring healthy environment to the residents who have already been battling with a global pandemic,” said Raja Shrafat, a senior Islooiite from Sector G-7 while talking to this agency. ....

Graana.com, in collaboration with the Capital Development Authority (CDA), has revamped the H-8 bridges located on the Islamabad Expressway to enhance the beauty of the city.
The painting of bridges on the ‘truck art theme’ is being carried out under the ‘Light up Islamabad’ initiative, aimed at revamping the federal capital.
While speaking on the occasion, CDA Member Finance Rana Shakeel informed that the civic authority has decorated two overhead bridges while the remaining bridges will be painted soon.
The member finance further said that the beautification work has also been started at the major underpasses of the city while the same beautification work will also be started at Srinagar Highway. ....

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) in its drive to Light Up Islamabad has started decorating overhead bridges of the 27-km long expressway in the traditional truck art, which has earned global acclamation and introduced the country s unique cultural identity to the world.

Body to finalise road map for raising tourist police - Newspaper


ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has formed a three-member committee to finalise a road map for raising first-ever Metropolitan Tourist Police for Islamabad.
Following the recent approval of board to forming the police, a committee comprising Member Finance, Member Admin from CDA and DIG has been set up to finalise the roadmap.
“The committee is going to meet this week. The Islamabad police will assist us in raising this force,” said CDA Member Finance Rana Shakeel Asghar.
He said that CDA would get posts and personnel from Islamabad police who would also train the tourist police officials.
The member finance said the committee would decide the roadmap, such as training of force and logistic, etc. “Then we will earmark funds for this project,” he said. ....
