The Finnish government on Wednesday presented its response to an interpellation concerning the nature restoration law proposed by the European Commission.
The Finnish government has prepared draft proposals for so-called exit and work trip taxes in a bid to curtail tax planning. The proposals have been interpreted as “hostile measures” by the start-up community, the permanent state secretary at the Ministry of Finance told Helsingin Sanomat on Tuesday.
Prime Minister Sanna Marin (SDP) on Sunday confirmed during her regular interview with YLE that Finland could vote against the 27-country bloc’s proposal that would, for example, set the goal of restoring at least 20 per cent of land and sea areas to their natural state.
“Everyone should finally recognise that we have to put a stop to the rising indebtedness of the Finnish state,” states Timo Ritakallio, the director general of OP Financial Group.
