CHICAGO (AP) - Police say a man being pursued by Chicago police officers fired shots at the pursuing officers before one of them returned fire, wounding the man. Chicago police Superintendent David Bown says no officers were struck by gunfire in Sunday night's incident but the wounded man was hospitalized "with non-life-threatening injuries." The department said the man who was identified as 32-year-old Felton Williams of Chicago has been charged with attempted murder, aggravated battery of a peace officer and other charges. Police say tactical officers were trying to "conduct an investigative stop" when Williams allegedly ran away and then opened fire on officers as he fled.
