Tarin admits growth rate hit by rising inflation

ٖFederal Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin has said that rising inflation has hit the growth rate in the country, bringing it down by 2 to 2.5 per cent. His admission came just days after the government claimed that the growth rate had increased to 5.37%. Tarin said that the 5.37% growth rate for the fiscal year 2021 was remarkable but the economy would grow at the rate of 5% in the current fiscal year.
