The Great Feast of the Holy Ghost of New England began Wednesday with more than 100 people praying the rosary at Kennedy Park and about 1,000 enjoying the traditional free meal of Holy Ghost soup and sweet bread.
Duarte Camara, president of the 2022 Great Feast of the Holy Ghost of New England, said there’s an enhanced anticipation regarding this year’s celebration, as no one knows exactly how new restrictions and the two-year forced hiatus due to the pandemic will ultimately impact the festivities.
