For festival fun try… Gore New Zealand’s country music capital comes to life in the winter months, with a host of events that draw visitors from all over the country down south. In June, toes will be tapping at the inaugural Tussock Country festival – a nine-day celebration of country music. Highlights include the iconic Gold Guitar Awards, where you can see the budding talent on display, and Top Paddock, a concert featuring a line-up of local country music stars. Entertainment will also be out in full force on the streets, as part of the “Freeze Ya Bits Off Busking” competition, culminating in a big street party.

Dunedin fashion, like its sound, has always been
distinct, and on Saturday 27 March 2021 an exhibition is
opening to celebrate it. From icons in New Zealand fashion
to new global players in cool, from the internationally
known iD Fashion Awards to the vast textile collection of
Otago Museum, Dunedin is rolling out the black
carpet.
Fashion Fwd Disruption through
Design is a celebration of fabulous frocks and beautiful
couture and the voices of fashion disruptors.
Gathered
from iD Emerging Designer finalists from the last 16 years
and garments from around the world, this fashion is brazen,
chic and defiant. Pieces are grouped with selected items

a phoenix from the ashes of 2020, Dunedin Fringe Festival
returns in March 2021 with a diverse and eclectic line-up of
more than 80 events across the city and online.

hybrid festival - combining live and online events - will
deliver something for everyone, across visual arts, theatre,
comedy, cabaret, music and more.
The Fringe programme
has come to be known for it s A-class comedy line up and
this year is no different. The inimitable Emerson s Festival
Theatre will feature a stellar programme including NZ s
snapchat superstar Tom Sainsbury, Chris Parker performing
the world s first comedy felting show, a debut with shocking
