Those on the farthest fringes of the right will denounce republicans who don t see things their way, who don t believe in the election fraud. obviously we have seen threats against the republican members of congress who voted for impeachment, right? most of those are not even running again. they have been driven from office. the other point is that violence breeds violence. even though it is coming, predominantly, from one side of the political spectrum we have plenty of examples of it coming from the opposite side of the political spectrum and the more people, start polling data miles talking about, that is very dangerous. the more people start thinking that violence is unacceptable means of addressing grievances, the more that will happen on both sides. we are at a perilous moment. i also don t want to frighten people off from voting, right? we need our leaders to come out right now and the clear that they can protect people s right to vote. mary, really quickly.
