A partnership among American Red Cross, the local DAR chapter and Farmington Fire Rescue Department installed new smoke detectors Saturday morning, Jan. 14, in thirteen homes in Farmington.
A maintenance worker, who was also seriously injured, is credited with getting several people to safety just before the blast, which also destroyed 11 mobile homes.
