The title of the exhibition, Suɔmɔ Hi Fe Shika, is a Ga phrase that translates as love is better than money and it appears on a salon signage.
Originally functioning as advertisement material, the works belong to Ghana’s vibrant visual popculture, a genre that includes tro-tro signages and decorative paintings on shop fronts and kiosks. ....
