Ridgefielders Organize Memorial Day Car Parade

Having discovered that the 2021 Main Street Memorial Day parade was once again canceled due to Covid concerns, local residents have banded together to re-create last year’s vehicle parade through town. Organizer Brian Armstrong said, “We were all disappointed to find out that this year s Memorial Day parade was canceled, but as soon as we heard the news, we knew we had to bring back the Memorial Day Car Parade!”
Building on last year’s success, in which over 65 cars participated, Armstrong says he expects this year’s car parade to be even bigger and better. “Last year the idea came to me on the Friday before Memorial Day and we worked through the weekend to try to get the word out and make sure everything was a go for Monday. This year we had enough time to start promoting the event earlier, so I’m hoping more people have a chance to participate, he remarked. ....
