Every politician has a mentor, a sounding board, a guiding presence. Nelson Mandela had Walter Sisulu, Winston Churchill had Bourke Cockran, and John F. Kennedy had Ted Sorensen. When wondering about councilman George Weiss, only one name comes to mind: Yosemite Sam.
