the way they voted for, they absolutely will feel it. we don t need to get to the point of feeling our rights rejected or undermined to take action so now all eyes need to go on senate democrats to protect rights and all eyes need to be on the select committee to ensure accountability for any and every person that participates in a faciitated january 6th attack. stewart, i m curious your thoughts here. all of this didn t really start with trump. the republican party i think has engaged in these tactics for a long time. we ve talked about this a little bit before. i think what we have to acknowledge at the root after this is race. there is a racial component to people feeling like their power is being stripped away as demographics of this country change. i m curious of your thoughts because you talked about this and wrote about this. why do you think racist and white supremacists found a home in the republican party? because this is a big part of what helped erode democracy.
