Bury Girls FC in their new kit A TEAM of female footballers are looking forward to getting kitted out in a new strip thanks to a cash boost from a healthcare company. Bury FC Boys, Girls and Women has received GIFT Grant funding for girls’ kits, development and coaching from Agility Life Sciences, a healthcare consultancy and communications firm. The club was formed back in 1996 with just a couple of girls’ teams, but has steadily grown over the years resulting in growing participation in community football in the area. Bury Boys, Girls and Women is now an FA Charter Standard Community Club, with 25 teams including a girls’ provision to accommodate female players from the age of six through to adults, as well as a Women s Vets provision for adult recreational football. This season, two new teams were introduced for girls, under 8s and under 10s.
