I think both sides have ruled out that this is talking about the uk rejoining the eu in any way, shape orform, or even the customs union, for that matter. But what this is about is some quite concrete bilateral talks. This is the fifth meeting, but this is the first official visit of the Prime Minister to berlin. And its just two months after he was elected as Prime Minister. Now, for his predecessor, rishi sunak, it took 18 months. And i thinkjust that alone is a signal of what london wants to achieve. Its, on the one hand, its a strong signal that the uk is now open for business with germany and, you know, is very serious about pushing forward some quite concrete bilateral agreements, particularly on defence, because i think Thats Something that the two countries are keen on working together on. What they cant really do much is when it comes to trade, because thats within the. Thats within the responsibilities of the eu. But what. I think when it comes to closer cooperation between t

The Ukrainian Air force managed to strike down at least 60 drones, five missiles, and altogether it was the attack with at least 91 russian missiles and drones. Russia again use nearly every type of weapons that it can deploy to attack ukraine by air. So, we can see that Russian Forces have enough missiles, hypersonic missiles. Despite all International Sanctions imposed on Russian Defence industries. Also we have some
The Prime Minister has warned that the budget this october will be painful, in his first major speech from no 10 since becoming Prime Minister. Speaking in the rose garden, he said his government had inherited a black hole in the public finances, of £22 billion. Those with the broadest shoulders should bear the heaviest burden, he cautioned, but he also said there would be big asks of everyone. The conservatives responded by saying the speech was an indication that labour had been planning tax rises all along. Vicki young has our top story. Blue skies and sunshine, but the Prime Minister didnt come here to paint a rosy picture. He has accused the conservatives of wrecking the economy, leaving him to put it right. There is a budget coming in october. And it is going to be painful. We have no other choice, given the situation that we are in. Those with the broadest shoulders should bear the heavier burden. I will have to turn to the country, and make big asks of you as well. Its already
And this, the message from the spanish Prime Minister on X Formerly Twitter the only goal of the game came from the spanish Captain Olga Carmona who Got Past Goalkeeper Mary Earps in the first half. In london there were tears, hugs and disappointment for the lionesses, who were looking to become the first england senior side since the mens team in 1966 to win the world cup. In a statement, king charles said the tournament has broken attendance and tv records and raised hopes of a surge in interest for the womens game around the world. Lets hear from the england coach, Sarina Viegman of course everyone was very disappointed that we didnt win the game. At the other hand i think we can be very proud of ourselves, only it doesnt feel that way at this moment, that takes a bit of time because now the most, the disappointment is the most what you feel, but everything weve done, how we have grown into the tournament, the challenges we had before the tournament, during the tournament, how we ha
We have been watching this run off here that has been coming just roaring down this wash that goes into a golf course. A lot of rain in palm springs and In The Valley where we are getting a couple of inches of rain which equals about half of what this area gets in a year. Authorities have closed a lot of the roads that goes over these washes. They did that pre emptively before the storm rolled in. They have done some of that here over the last few hours as the floodwaters grew and you see the gusty wind and some of the heavy rain has stopped over the past few hours but now on the backside of the storm this is really starting to gust as hillary moves on to the north. We can see the wind picking up there and in terms of the people who are living there, jason, how accustomed are they to this . You mentioned this is about as much rain as they usually get in a whole year. How vulnerable is this community . They are not accustomed to this at all. This morning i was at a station where they we
