what do you think about that? i think that is 100% incorrect. throughout history, under any legal framework, the sex trade has never existed without violence, coercion, and trafficking. these are the conditions, right? so i think it s not regulating it to help the prostituted woman, it s regulating it to allow the people who make profit from it to do so legally. under what circumstances could you meet that side in some kind of agreement? what we can work on together is we decriminalize the exploited. it s simply untenable to criminalize someone for surviving. you can t just decriminalize without also providing them with exit services. when women are given jobs, housing, child care, food, education, health care, they are not going to need the sex industry to survive.
