saw that severe weather. kind of clashing of the two systems. very typical spring-like storm. right now this is what we re left over with. we re seeing this storm exit pretty quickly. we have winter weather advisory in hartford and boston. still a rough morning throughout the day. we re looking at a rough commute. as we go throughout this afternoon we ll see this exit off. you see the blue here that s where we re seeing snow falling. along the coast where you see the greens and yellows, that s the heavy rain. now it becomes a story of cold air. this will be the bigger story for the week in terms of weather. we have dangerously cold air in place. wind chill advisory, wind chill warnings where you see the pink, darker pink is your warning and kids dressed in layers this morning and this will stay in place for many days. that s when it gets dangerous when it stays put. bitterly cold right now. 4 below zero in pierre.
so, my question here anderson, i ve never covered a hurricane in the state of florida. i wonder after one of these monster storms come through would it take nine days for fema to reach a town in the state of florida like i took to reach in puerto rico? there s concern about the equipment getting destroyed and also obviously it s not florida where you can just drive trucks. but you were saying the roads the florida town you were in in puerto rico that s only an hour from san juan. yeah. so, you take a helicopter to get there no, you take a highway and an exit off. what is remarkable the roads i ve been on has been cleared. you can travel back and forth easily. that fema team i went with i asked did you bring anything to this community. they said they supplied is a
dickinson is back here, the exit off of the interstate to get to it and it is flooded out. it s the spot yesterday where we saw boat after boat being launched into the flood waters to carried out rescues, my photo journalists jamie got on the rescue boats, we will show you video because you can t get into dickinson at least by internet state 45 by car, it s only by boat. people were sitting there waiting to be picked up from all of the volunteers who heard the calls for help. he came across a man oh was sitting on the roof of his truck and people who were just waiting for anyone to come by and pull them to safety and pull them to dry land. so these have been numerous search and rescue operations going on and we start today see images on social media of a home

inch in manhattan. but you the big thing is the ice. we were talking about the youtube video they showed us. they were talking about why can t these planes take off? snow is very different than the freezing rain. this morning in dallas, it s been freezing fog. and even freezing rain into the northeast of the places like connecticut saw just under a quarter of aen inch. and in jersey and down towards virginia they saw about a quarter of an inch of ice. things are looking so much better. however, there s still a chance for snow. not really the big concern. but kind of in towards the northeast we ll see that exit off. and keep in mind, there is another system out there. just as one leaves, while on the tail end, another low is forming. all you need to know, more snow on the way. so overnight tonight in through tomorrow, we re still going to be talking about snow.
