Residents filled the seats in the Select Board meeting room in Billerica’s Town Hall Nov. 6, and many sounded off against the board during the first opportunity for public comment since the board voted 3-2 Oct. 26 to reject a petition to bring the town center project to a town wide vote.
Two Town Hall employees are on the ballot against each other for the April 1 town elections in the race for Town Clerk after current Town Clerk Shirley Schult chose not to run for re-election. The Executive Confidential Secretary for the Select Board Dawn McDowell and Principal Clerk Donna McCoy are on the ballot for the April 1 election in the only contested race in Billerica besides the School Committee.
