it s about your state house. symone, i want to play a little bit more from your old boss, vice president harris last night here on msnbc. let s make sure that people understand the power of their voice on this because we ve seen how it has an impact, and so much of this discussion that you brought us together for is about really fully appreciating that this is not some conceptual issue. that s right. it s about real people every day. that s right. who for the most part are silently suffering, and we as a society that should care, should care enough to vote. symone, she s putting herself out there in part because of this one-year anniversary, but is this a preview, do you think, for her role in 2024? well, i honestly think it s a continuation of what the vice president has been doing and the strategy from this white house. after the dobbs decision came down, it was the vice president who convened a number of folks

doctors and you hear from the women that we did at those round tables yesterday, we are learning the real practical effects and politically i think those stories make such a difference. but hearing from doctors and women have gone through horrible experiences, we re not being silent on the issue, and i think that s the most important thing. this is not something we re hush hush about like in the 1970s as women. this is something we are front and center and demanding, and that makes a difference. and women make up the majority of the voters. yes, they do. in this country. susan del percio, and symone sanders townsend, thank you both. great to have you here. don t forget to catch symone on weekends at 4:00 p.m. eastern saturday and sunday right here on msnbc. up next on ana cabrera reports, the most comprehensive study on cte including startling

hopefully we ll learn more at that 1:00 p.m. eastern news conference. meantime, this saturday will mark one year since the supreme court overturned roe v. wade effectively ending the federal right to abortion in the united states, and right now support for abortion rights is at an all-time high. a recent gallop poll finds that a record 69% think abortion should generally be legal in the first three months of pregnancy. here s vice president kamala harris in an exclusive msnbc round table on the reidout last night. this issue in addition to affecting real people every day as we have discussed also calls into play our commitment to a foundational concept, which is that of freedom. joining us now is the host of symone here on msnbc, symone sanders townsend and republican strategist and msnbc political analyst, susan del percio. ladies, nice to see you both.
