Hit an overpass, two people injured, a medevac helicopter landed taking a person to the hospital. Theres debris all over the roadway, they need to check the integrity of the overpass that the tractortrailer hit. This could be closed for an hour, north of exit 4. You can get on exit 4, but if youre coming down from exit 5 or 6, all lanes blocked on the new jersey turnpike thats the overpass where they think damage was done. If youre in the area stick to 295 as the alternate. A live look at 295 traffic is moving fine, it runs parallel to the turnpike, stick to 29 a 5. We have an accident on the boulevard northbound between c and f streets. One this abington on old york road watch for this accident restricting traffic. This looks like what the tractortrailer hit into, they are checking the Structural Integrity of the overpass on the turnpike. Thats why the crews are out here all morning. Its a serious accident, two people were injured, one person was medevacd out of here, they shut both lanes down of the new jersey turnpike when that happened. Longest runway began late last month and officials warned delays or cancellations could get especially bad on high travel days. Were now 24 hours delayed. Reporter something passengers are feeling this weekend. A whopping 80 Flights Canceled and 108 delayed at last count. We landed last night at 11 00 p. M. , so, waited here till 7 00 a. M. Then finally got to my hotel about 8 00 a. M. , had to be out by 11 00. Reporter jackie weiss man and her friends have been trying to get home to eugene, oregon since saturday night. It was only four hours and then we couldnt get a flight till 24 hours later. Reporter sleeping at the airport then three hours at a hotel, back to the airport for more delays. Frustration at the ticketing counter as passengers are told flights are all booked up, canceled or delayed.
