She s back! Meteorologist Laura Velasquez is returning to West Michigan!
In a Facebook post on Saturday, February 6th, Laura wrote: I am coming home, West Michigan!!! Wow, I have waited so long to say that and it feels great! There is still so much to do, but I ll see ya on TV in just a couple weeks. In the meantime, stay warm and safe and keep an eye on the forecast here.
Laura started her TV broadcasting career at WOOD TV-8 here in Grand Rapids. She began her on-air weather forecasting in August of 2007. In July of 2014 she made the move west, to Denver, Colorado to take a job at KDVR/KWGN.
