Environment Canada meteorologist Doug Lundquist said in a previous interview with iNFOnews the sky colours during those morning and evening periods of the day “can be incredible. And it is largely due to the region s mountainous terrain. “It’s partly because we get cloud coming in bands into the Interior. The mountains get in the way and break the cloud up.
